The Breeders had many shoes thrown at them during their set. When Josephine was hit in the chest with a shoe, they ended their set early. Kurt Cobain came onstage between sets and told the audience to “keep your shoes on.” – other reports state that it was Kim and Kelley who were hit by the shoes.
